Hosting

As a host, my role is to create inviting, warm and hospitable spaces to help you and your community to think creatively about challenges, imagine exciting futures and encourage shared action.

I work with organisations to help reimagine the way they host meetings, events and gatherings. I help them have better conversations with those they want to talk to. Together we get to the heart of what is important to the community they are a part of.

I specialise in hosting events that have a co-produced and conversational agenda. I’m a massive fan of Open Space Technology and World Cafe.

Events must enable all voices to be heard equally and become a valued part of any decision making going forward.

But what does this look like practically? It looks a bit like this:

Reimagine Your AGM

  • Design an AGM that is inclusive, engaging and creates space for innovation.
  • Hosting ‘on the day’ is taken care of, leaving you the headspace to get involved alongside your community.
  • Conversations are harvested and organised to enable you to move forward strategically
  • Encourages grassroots thinking and unexpected

Creative Conversations

  • Bespoke facilitation for meetings that raise that important topic
  • Spaces that get people to think creatively and explore possibility
  • Creating inclusive spaces where ideas are shared and all voices are valued.
  • Take a team, partners or co-conspirators on a journey of reflection, investigation or direction setting.

Peoples' Assemblies

  • Create well held and facilitated space for the community to talk about issues that are important to them.
  • Develop trust and community agency through dialogue and building connections.
  • Use democratic processes to move forward in collective decision making
  • Great for multi-organisation collaboration, neighbourhood forums and public enquiries.

Celebrating Communities

  • Creative events, dinners and parties that gather people around a purpose
  • Creating space for celebration, reflection and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Collect thoughts, ideas and dreams whilst having fun
  • Have a look at BH SOUP if you want some ideas!

We wanted a festival programme that engaged the public around themes of Resilience, Relinquishment and Restoration. Daisy created room for the community's questions and made a safe space to discuss and dream about how we can create a positive impact in Peterborough.

It was a great way to close the festival!”
